Assalamu aalaykum - peace be unto you
On the behalf of my family and myself I am writing these few lines welcoming you to the big family of Islam.
The new concepts are those of the reality around you as have been taught to us by our maker Allah Glory be to Him. Our understanding of the Creator, the creation, the history, the present, the future as well as our origin, the purpose of life and last but not least the life in the hereafter are all real and make real sense. Compared with the latest hypothesis about creation from the so-called intellectuals, what do they have to offer? A theory that starts with a big bang followed by a spark, a single cell, fish, apes, Darwin and the likes! For Muslims it sounds like a funny children’s fairytale. The end to the poor lot is death, either natural or through mass destruction technology. With such a theory, no wonder so many of them are busy killing each other.
As for the Islamic aspects of life cleanliness in thoughts, clothing, body and environment, lowering of the gaze, modesty in dressing, loyalty, submission to the only Master of All, the Almighty, piety in public and in private, refraining from harmful intakes and preserving clean record in addition to uttering only what is good. Certainly the non-Islamic life aspects are harmful to the weak as well as to the strong, the family and individual. This harm is justified for a short time of joy. No-one is secure in a non-Islamic society.
Islamic prospects are a guaranteed relative happiness in this life and real happiness in the hereafter. In this life, Muslims are immune from addictions and its painful consequences. Simply, because of the Islamic concepts, that first define, and then forbid, evil. Others have to experiment, by literally using their bodies as guinea pigs, while others capitalize on their misery. Hence, there are less addictions and less social misery in the Muslim World, despite being mostly poor and uneducated. Although these last two attributes are the consequences of being less Islamic than one ought to be, rather than the opposite.
As for the prospects of the hereafter, Heaven has been guaranteed for those who submit to the Founder of Heavens , i.e. the Muslims, while Hell is awaiting those who either ignored Him or worshipped someone-else.
The non-Islamic prospectus can be summarised in one word: hazardous.
Finally you are now on the true path under no circumstance depart from it, may Allah show you all the guidance you need.
Wasalamu alaikum, peace be unto you, the day you entered into Islam, the day you depart from this life and the day you meet you Creator.
